A young woman's heart knows no boundaries-even when fate places her in the path of the man hired to end her life. This gripping tale blends romance, danger, and destiny, showing that love can emerge even in the most unexpected and perilous circumstances.
Rafael Arcaya Cruzado was born on February 28, 1945, in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. In 1949, his family relocated to San Juan, the island's capital, where he pursued his education. He attended Colegio Espíritu Santo (Holy Spirit College) for primary school and later graduated from the Universidad de Puerto Rico High School in 1964.
Rafael continued his studies at the University of Puerto Rico, earning a degree in Business Administration in 1968. He went on to serve the government for seventeen years, during which time he became a licensed Real Estate Appraiser. In 1989, he returned to his hometown of Mayagüez, where he established his own professional practice.
He was married to Awilda Santoni Cordero for thirty years until her passing in 2000. Together, they raised three children-Héctor, Sergio, and Mariela-who in turn blessed him with beloved grandchildren: Diego, Marco, Fiona, Raylee, and Mikaelle. His life experiences, both joyful and tragic, have shaped his perspective and inspired his storytelling.
