A small red leather box containing unmarked black and white photos revealed memories of life on the Farm on Bay Road in Webster, New York. Growing up in Webster, the author wasn't aware of the grand house sitting at the end of an apple tree lined drive overlooking Irondequoit Bay until her teens. By that time the property belonged to the YMCA. The vibrant 1960's colors of the time painted on the walls didn't prevent her from appreciating the fine architecture, the beautiful paneling and special details like the leaded glass windows. The black and white photos revealed a very different life than many people in the area imagined.
She spent several years writing down and collecting memories that Edmund, and his siblings Jim and Anne had of their home they called Our Farm. The book's memories hopefully will give a greater appreciation of Our Farm's time in history.
