Synopsis
Nothing is ever what it seems when the place we call home is in peril. Ever has it been that way in the lands to the North. The Wylds cannot be tamed when the hearts and minds of those who call it home know desire. As it is, and with winter’s passing, the time is fast approaching when the courage of many will be tested, and its truths revealed.
On behalf of the Brotherhood, the hand of justice is not only swift, but also a pretense for profit and gain. The Elders, Cyrall and Hagni-Asi, both, Cannons of the White and Black, covet treasure and magic from a valley revealed not long ago. The time to embark is now. It’s with the resources of Cev-Navison and their dwarven allies, that they would see it done.
For the goblyns of the Rhette-Du and their chief, they find the end to their travels is at hand, as well as their search for Balite-Ungress. The Goblyn city of old, which has been lost for a thousand years, is now within their grasp. However, it may still be out of reach. To find the entrance, they must enter the valley where it’s soon discovered, rumors abound. Where tales of death, and something more terrifying lie beyond its boundaries.
Sadly, the lull that winter afforded, is now nearing its end. It means, the visions of conflict and strife that haunt Madea yet, may soon come to pass. And with it, the legend of a cursed valley, where death prowls in the guise of a witch.
With resolve and steadfastness, Kale and his family prepare to weather the approaching storm. At the same time, Gabrielle is resolved to come to terms with the legacy of a father, and a magic, she has yet to master.
So it seems only fate, or the child of the Seer, can reveal what lies hidden in the shadows!
