Synopsis
A former biker and government contact has been left for dead, and now the deputies will have to work with the feds to find the shooter…
Deputized college students Vera and Rigby are just settling into their new roles as officers under Sheriff Bart “Breaker” Caldwell. They’ve learned to navigate the department’s old-fashioned equipment and techniques, but they’re caught off guard when an early morning call brings them to the site of a callous attempted murder. The scene has been scrubbed, and the man who was shot is lying in a medically-induced coma.
With Rigby sidelined working security, Vera and the sheriff are left to work with what little evidence they can collect and the aid of the man’s government handlers. His fellow bikers don’t feel like talking, and solid proof of the smuggling ring he claimed to have uncovered is nowhere to be found. It will take all the deputies’ newly-acquired skills if they’re going to finish the work the informant began.
