About the Authors

Jeffrey Herron , A published author, Dr. Herron’s research interests include family and community partnerships, mental health, cultural diversity, African-American families, nonresidential fathers, juvenile delinquency, and poverty.

Benjamin Dunn , With over a decade of experience in higher education, Benjamin has held key roles in academic advising, student conduct, residence life, crisis management, and integrated success coaching. He combines this extensive expertise with a deep passion for marketing and branding. Benjamin earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Arts in Student Personnel Services in Higher Education, both from Eastern Kentucky University. In August 2024, he completed his Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration at the University of Southern Mississippi. In addition to his academic achievements, Benjamin has previously served as the Kentucky State Director for Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and is the Co-Founder of Dunn Right Leadership Co., a venture he launched with his wife, Olivia Dunn.

Keith Douglas is an experienced higher education professional with a diverse background in student affairs. He recently completed his Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) at Abilene Christian University. Keith also holds a Master of Arts in Student Personnel Services in Higher Education and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, both from Eastern Kentucky University. Keith currently serves as a Senior Transfer Advisor at the University of Cincinnati, where he supports community college students in their transition to four-year institutions. He has also held academic advising roles at Wright State University and Bluegrass Community and Technical College, focusing on student success, retention, and transfer advising. His past experience includes roles as a Graduate Assistant, Retention Specialist, and Advisor for various student organizations, along with leadership in crisis management, academic planning, and diversity initiatives. Keith is an active member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and has contributed to several committees and presentations emphasizing diversity, inclusion, and student development. His work is rooted in a passion for student empowerment and academic success.
