While undercover as a French soldier, British spy, Walter Hurst, hadn’t expected to come across a strange beauty on the Spanish shore whilst cannonballs echoed off the walls of the nearby burning homes. Nor did he expect to take a bullet for her. Yet, he’d make the same choice over again if it meant she’d remain at his side.
He lay for days on the verge of death, drifting in and out of consciousness and dreams of her. She, in turn, saved his life, that much he knew, but talk of time travel and strange songs made little sense.
