In “The WEIGHT of WAITING (Releasing the WEIGHT, Embracing the WAIT)” the author reiterates the importance of waiting, patiently. She emphasizes that while we wait on God for whatever He’s got for us, we should do this with great expectancy because what His will is for us, is worth the wait. This period can be difficult and draining, but she encourages us to release all those burdens (WEIGHTS) and (WAIT) on God.
About the Author
Dr. Dawn “Lady D” Samuels, what a woman to be reckoned with! A woman of substance, MC extraordinaire, Christian Comedian, Preacher, Gospel Recording Artist, Mother and Grandmother, Motivational Speaker and Radio Broadcaster with a difference. Originally from the island of Jamaica, she has resided in the USA for more 25 years. Her young life was fraught with seemingly unsurmountable challenges, but, she has beaten all odds to become the public figure that she is today. In 2014, Dr. Samuels published her autobiography entitled “Alone in a Crowd…. from Broken-ness to Whole-ness”, taking her readers through the trials and triumphs of her life. Like a voice crying in the wilderness, she has inspired men, women and children from all walks of life to fast and pray, hold on, look up and give thanks to God.
Dr. Samuels is academically prepared, having attended West Indies College now Northern Caribbean University, Charmaine School of Nursing, Connecticut School of Broadcasting and Andersonville Theological Seminary where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology. In 2022 she received an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Gospel Music from EMET Global Theological Seminary. Dr. Samuels is currently studying at Oakwood University pursuing a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Studies. Most importantly however, are her spiritual preparedness and her being ready for God’s soon return as she pursues the next steps in His leading.
Her mantra is found in Isaiah 6:8 “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” Her favorite quote is, ‘If you can use anything Lord, you can use me.’ Mrs. Hannah Walker Johnson, B.A. M.S. M.Sc
