About the Authors

Zachariah was raised on horror. From Friday Fright Night movies his love of the scary and macabre was born. Today he lives in the Kansas City area, a 12 year veteran of fire fighting and EMS. Zach is a survivor of childhood trauma and PTSD and uses his experiences and lessons from recovery to enrich his characters. His stories and writing is not an escape from reality, but an expresion of it. Through his visceral and cinematic storytelling, he pulls you into a world filled with all the nuances of the human experince. It just happens to be wrapped up in tentacles and teeth.He is a proud father to two girls and husband, a dog lover, and enjoys drawing (even though he's not good at it).

Allyson McNitt, PhD, is an editor of printed media for Army University Press. She received her BA in English and creative writing from the University of Kansas, her MA in English from Emporia State University, and her PhD in medieval studies (British and French literature, history, and gender studies) from the University of Oklahoma.

Brian has been writing since 2009 and has seventeen years of experience teaching Middle School English and Language Arts & Creative Writing in urban districts. He has two master's degrees, one from The Ohio State University in Education and the other from Northern Kentucky University in English/Creative Writing. Since then, he has produced five separate books, "Hurry Up, Slowly", "Life, Like", "Dark Steps", "Forgotten Sin", & his newest "Damned to Live". Brian is also a certified fiction book editor who helps authors with their structural design & copy-editing needs.
