Synopsis

Restoring the Biblical Christ: Is Jesus God? argues that there is one God, the Father (1 Corinthians 8:6), that Jesus was a man (John 8:40) distinct from God (John 7:16-17), but that God revealed himself through Jesus (John 14:10). This position leaves many questions to be answered, like Why does the Bible say Jesus was worshipped? Why is the Word called God in John 1:1? What did Jesus mean when he said, "Before Abraham was, I am"? Did Jesus preexist his humanity? What did the earliest Christians believe about Jesus? Where did the modern beliefs about Jesus come from? All of these questions and more are addressed in detail within Restoring the Biblical Christ: Is Jesus God? This book is jam-packed (over 500 reference notes) with little-known quotes from early Christianity, quotes from respected biblical scholars, and information on the earliest biblical manuscripts, detailing how certain "theologically charged" texts should be translated .
