Synopsis
Until we have peace within our hearts and souls there will never be peace for humanity. You cannot accomplish outward peace without first having the peace of God in your heart. Since the time Adam and Eve sinned, and we are all their descendants, we will continue in wars and rumours of wars until that day when Christ comes back and reigns forever. Isaiah 2:4 says, “And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.” Until this time comes men will continue to learn war.
The Bible tells us that as this age grows closer to the coming of the Lord back to this earth it will also grow darker. Darkness will try to encompass the globe before the Lord comes back. Matthew 24:6 says “And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” These wars among the nations will cause discontent and individual groanings within men’s hearts unless we allow God’s word to fill our hearts with his love.
This book will look at specific references of peace in the Bible from Genesis through Revelations. His words are infinite and this by no means even touches the hem of his garment. The more we grow like him the more peace we have in our hearts. His treasures like the falling snow are innumerable and will give us peace in the storms of life even during times of war.
