Synopsis

In 1965 a 19-year-old girl decided to marry a handsome young man named Ira Miller in Northern Indiana. Ira wanted to become a successful dairy farmer. Things started out a little rocky when on their honeymoon they experienced a funny disaster when their folding travel trailer collapsed on them. Later the difficulties were more serious as they saw the loss of their farm and did battle with the local Farm Credit Services Bank.

During that time Carol and Ira milked cows, raised crops and fed cattle every single day. When problems with the bank occurred through no fault of their own Carol and Ira were determined not to lose all that they had worked for over the prior 25 years. Going to work as one of the first female car salespeople in the market her determination and success led to many awards and her ability to clear up their sad financial situation.

Raising two active children, keeping a house and working 12 hours a day, Carol maintained a positive attitude while Ira worked at trucking and other jobs. Their story is one of sadness, happiness, success, failure and true love. Their relationship to their church and strong belief in the help of God got them through many struggles. Their story is one of desire, strength and love for God and each other.
