Synopsis
‘Have you betrayed us? Have YOU…betrayed ME?’ With these immortal words, Kerr Avon confronts Roj Blake on the planet Gauda Prime and it is one of the most gut wrenching and perfectly pitched scenes of television drama ever made.
Since the first episode of Blake's 7, this confrontation had been on the cards. But like Icarus, our heroes would only have wings as fragile as wax and feathers this time around, and their flight towards the light would be perilous indeed!
Often overlooked as a poor relation to previous seasons, Blake's 7's final year may lack the iconic imagery and style of what went before, but what it lacks in looks, it more than makes up for in sheer grit and determination. Paul Darrow was a star by this time, clad in black, he was a television sex symbol and while he chewed some scenery, he commanded the screen.
