The loss of a loved one is never easy. The loss of your fiancé is heart shattering, when you're in the midst of creating a family and have just lost that as well it leaves you feel devastated and numb. There are many words to say but all I had to say wasn't coming out, not properly. Everyone kept telling me to journal but all I knew was that I used to be able to write poetry. So, I picked back up my words through rants, and poems. Some free verse, some metaphors. Some things that only may makes sense to me, I hope they make sense to you. As I say in a little note at the beginning we all know a song about something that just one line may stick out, grief comes out in all forms. So maybe even just one line may stick with you in this collection of 203 poems of thoughts I have had during my first year of healing. Am I healed? No. Will I forever work towards being better and loving better because I have been taught the purest love through this love. Absolutely. I hope something resonates with you if you take the time to read this. Greif comes in many forms and in many shapes. Death, breakups, friendship loss. Whatever your loss is I give you my condolences, even though those are the worst words. I'd rather say my heart is with you. Sending love and light. From the sun that inspired this book, the moon who wrote it about him, and the star they created who is sitting with the sun.
This work contains some hand drawn, and colored, artwork as well.
