About the Author
Billy Harper DVM is a retired Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Ohio State University graduate who built two successful small animal practices over a 35-year career. In his memoir, My Year with the Bookmaker, he draws on his own turbulent adolescence to tell the inspiring story of a sixteen-year-old boy who overcame abandonment and long odds with the help of a loving uncle.
