Today, we fly on modern aircraft that are as advanced as they are safe. Yet, the history of aviation is marked by numerous accidents that have profoundly shaped the industry. This book tells the story of the critical systems that enhance passenger safety and technologically prevent disasters. As you delve into these pages, you'll experience the intense moments leading up to accidents, witnessing cockpit conversations right up to the final seconds. This narrative is crafted from official reports and audio recordings, providing an authentic and gripping account. You'll discover how new systems are designed to prevent similar tragedies, including their warning mechanisms, with every detail meticulously explored. One of the six accidents featured involves Crew Resource Management (CRM), highlighting the lessons learned from these incidents, which will continue in a series. Now, as you settle into your seat with confidence and peace of mind, you can savor the beauty of the sky while enjoying a hot cup of tea or coffee and watching a movie on your screen. I wish you all safe and wonderful flights in the skies.
