Synopsis
It was so cliché it was almost pathetic. The older woman, newly divorced with a passel of kids and the younger, hot guy next door. I should have walked away from Ward and everything he represented. I should have said no way, I’ve got too much on my plate for a relationship. Especially one with a younger man.
But then, he took my plate and took half of the stuff on it and took care of them for me.
It didn’t matter what came up, he was there to help me handle it.
It was refreshing and I couldn’t say no.
Rules were made to be broken, right? Well, I broke them all and ended up in prison. I should have been able to go home and get my life back on track, but shit just kept hitting the fan and it was better for everyone if I left again. At last, this time when I left, I had the freedom to go back.
Until I met Daphne. Then I didn’t want to go back.
I wanted to be wherever she was and if that meant walking barefoot on hot coals, well, sign me up.
I was determined to do whatever I had to just to make sure she said yes.
