Synopsis

This is the first book in the Teaching and Learning Adventure series by Apple Adventures. As a teacher, I am frequently asked by parents what they can do at home to support their child's learning. I want to provide that answer and enable parents to be teachers. Inside you will find teaching tips and strategies to help you on your teaching adventure and reinforce skills for the learner in the areas of reading comprehension and social-emotional learning. Use the guiding questions found throughout the book to start meaningful and thoughtful conversations targeting skills in empathy, honesty, identifying emotions, summarizing, critical thinking, personal connections, and reading comprehension.
Sometimes learning from our mistakes is hard. Abby makes a mistake and learns something important. A Mistake with Ice Cream teaches the importance of honestly and learning from our mistakes. It also leads to discussions about feelings and emotions. Read this fun and entertaining story to find out what Abby learned!
I hope you enjoy going on this teaching and learning adventure with your child!
