The space colony Magellan has reached the end of its odyssey after blazing a trail across the galaxy. While its inhabitants await the development of a new settlement on an Earth-like world, Sota Nakama and his friends struggle with the winds of change. Innocent attachments to their spacefaring home contend with dreams of a peaceful future.But peace shatters when the Grand Company, a ruthless military force, arrives in pursuit of a combat unit codenamed Gear Zero. Swept up in the schemes of a vengeful captain, Sota is thrust into a burgeoning civil war.
