But just days before the dance, her lifeless body is discovered deep in the woods, shattering the calm of West Bend, Washington. What seemed like a tragic accident quickly reveals something much darker at work.
Quincy Villalobos, a transgender Mexican-American teen, is already grappling with the chaos of his own shifting identity. Each passing full moon pulls him deeper into a terrifying transformation—one that’s becoming increasingly harder to control. When evidence suggests Alissa was attacked by a wolf-like creature, Quincy begins to question everything he thought he knew about himself.
With each new clue, the line between what’s real and what’s possible blurs, leaving Quincy to wonder: is he the key to solving Alissa’s murder—or the one responsible for it?
