Synopsis
The alien empire of the Nirvareen’s war ended nearly fifteen years ago, but all is not well for those trying to survive and find their place in this new world. A child from Kepin, a defunct Breeder having escaped their previous master to try and gain respect with another, Ferel’s life is all about survival at all costs and keeping their identity hidden. However, their history and the potential they could be a spy had led to a situation wherein they must confront their previous tormentor in order to gain rank. It won’t be easy, especially with their rival Likhan in tow to deal with them should they re-join their old master.
But though Ferel likes to think it’s a rivalry between them, Likhan’s been fighting off the desire he’s held over the Double-Gender since they first turned up. An unexpected situation will force them into closer quarters and change everything for Ferel… putting them at the greatest risk they’ve ever been and forcing them to choose between survival and happiness.
