Journey in Bloom is a collection of poems showcasing the journey of struggling with my mental health, navigating life after trauma, my time in motherhood, finding new love, and stepping back into a loving, more positive connection with myself.
These poems are for anybody who might be suffering with their mental health and need a reminder that others often go through these same, turbulent emotions that seem to nearly cripple you. These are for the person who struggles with self-doubt and believing they are worthy of good things. It's for the mother in the trenches needing that boost to remember this time won't last forever; so just breathe. This is for those whose hearts were broken and thought they would never find their one; please keep searching even when it feels like all hope is gone. This is a reminder that the dark and difficult thoughts are just a placeholder for better ones. Those thoughts don't have to be our enemy; they can be an ally in our healing. This collection is for anyone who has a hard time with everyday existence but still knows deep down that they are made of star dust and they too, are held gently by the Universe for a reason: because they are needed here.
This book is a hug to those who need it, a reminder to those who feel lost, and a letter to myself that I can get through the hard moments and find joy there. To shake hands with my shadow and walk alongside it in balance.
I hope that you find solace and comfort in my musings on this Journey in Bloom!
