Synopsis

Kaleb Hausser settled into Gunn’s Camp in Weeping Creek, Arizona, as an escape from his twisted rockstar past, but the women in his life are giving him hell.
Madeleine Blue Gunn, the obnoxious daughter of Etienne Blue, owner of The Blue Moon Saloon, is determined to seduce Kaleb while simultaneously befriending his wife, Harley. Maddie doggedly haunts him and a clandestine encounter with cheesy balls adds fuel to the fire.
Harley defends Maddie, even when the woman unexpectedly drops her menacing son off for an overnight stay, and coerces her into a disturbing weekend trip to California. As a temporary accountant for the charity run by Maddie’s political husband, Randolf Gunn, Harley discovers a horrible secret that, if revealed, would destroy both Gunns’ aspirations.
And what is Harley hiding from Kaleb? The couple struggles to find answers to mystifying questions that test the limits of their relationship.
What actually happened in California? What secrets from the past bring the anthropologist, Dr. Ross Bryan, constantly to the Hausser’s property and what does she know about the human bones found there? Where does their youngest son disappear to for hours out in the desert? Will Kaleb ever solve the mystery of Redfield Mine?
The Hausser’s answers and future peace involve their six-year-old son’s obsession with Bone Lady, the mysterious love of his life; the revelation of damning truths; and Kaleb’s strength to heal himself while providing love and support for the one who hurt him most.
