Stop Searching and Start Living

What if the exhaustion you feel isn’t physical at all? What if you’re not just tired - but disconnected?
In I’m Running on Empty – What Now? Anthony Talmage speaks directly to a growing, unspoken crisis of modern life: the quiet burnout of the soul.
This is not a book about quick fixes, productivity hacks, or surface-level self-help.
It is an invitation. An invitation to step away from the noise, the pressure, and the endless cycle of doing - and rediscover something deeper, quieter, and profoundly real within yourself.
At the heart of this book lies Subud, a little-known spiritual practice that offers no dogma, no rituals, and no belief system to adopt. Instead, it provides something far more radical: A direct, personal experience of inner guidance.
Through powerful storytelling, real-life accounts, and a refreshingly honest exploration of doubt, scepticism, and discovery, you’ll uncover a path that does not ask you to believe - but simply to experience.
Inside this deeply engaging and thought-provoking book, you will discover:
• Why so many people feel emotionally and spiritually exhausted in today’s world
• The hidden impact of social media, modern life, and constant mental stimulation
• What Subud is and why it is unlike any other spiritual path
• How the latihan (a simple yet profound inner practice) works in real life
• Real stories of transformation, healing, and renewed purpose
• How to reconnect with a deeper source of calm, clarity, and meaning
This is not about becoming someone new. It’s about returning to who you really are.
If you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or are quietly asking, “Is this all there is?” then this book offers something rare: Not more noise. Not more theory. But a doorway to experience.
You don’t have to believe a word of it. You simply have to be willing to explore.
