Synopsis
THE SISTERS is a story of eight black sisters in a family of the thirteen children of “Baby” Ruth & John Cook. The Cook sisters have to navigate life, love, and trauma in 1980’s Brooklyn, New York. While trying to maintain family, their bonds, and their individual families in the midst of poverty, drugs, teen pregnancy, violence, and domestic violence. These women all have children of their own and have their own personal challenges and tragedies while attempting to keep their children on the right path and out of the streets. The story is follows the eight sisters with very different personalities full of comedy and drama told through the eyes of a child.

It is a story of faith, hope, family, legacy, and the inner conflicts of a bonded close knit family. A family trying to keep their family together while their worlds are falling apart.
