It is an introduction, covering binary and hexadecimal numbers and their use in naming and illustrating scales.

The information however is not limited to guitarists etc. The concepts and scales apply to all of western music using the twelve-tone equal temperament system. Keyboard diagrams have been added as they may help many who are more at home on the piano or similar instruments.
