Synopsis
When Lana, a kind homeless shelter worker, is nearly robbed, she tries to make friends with her mugger. His name is Rafael, and Lana wants to guide him onto a better path. Across the city, a burglar called Kathleen enlists Rafael as her young protege. However, she is a police informant.
Elsewhere, across the San Gabriel Valley, there is a spate of disturbing murders. There appears to be no connection, but ambitious Detective Archie Delgado views things differently. His colleagues in the homicide bureau mock his wild theories, but Delgado is determined to prove he is right.
