The truth hidden in these stories is that the Divine Law is self-enforcing, and nothing, not even history, is linear.
Our guiding metaphor is the Sundial Zodiac: The prophets are the fixed, perfectly aligned Gnomons (markers) on the celestial clock, and the corruption of their message is the shadow cast by the light of Revelation across the circle of time. History is simply the shadow moving around the eternal wheel of the Zodiac.
The need for this decoding is existential.
