Synopsis
In the Afterland… everything is desolate.
When the Grid fell, civilization crumbled — but the machine still remembers. Ashwire is the Grid’s ghost made flesh: stitched from fifty corpses, sighted by a red optic implant and armed with a barbed synapse prosthetic. He wakes into an Afterland of cult prophets, cannibal queens, and mechanized warlords who each see one promise in him — salvation, a weapon, or a way to the throne.
Mama Grin rules the Gutlands by ritual hunger. Cindersaintpreaches purity through flame in Pyrahn. Queen Ida — the Queen of Rust — commands an army forged from scrap and crown; a monarch and warrior.
