Synopsis
"Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed the heir of all things, through whom also He created the world." (Hebrews 1:1–2)
The Old Testament prepared us for the coming of Jesus and the Kingdom of Heaven. In the New Testament we have the beginning of the fulfillment of God's holy promises and the mandate to move forward in mission to the ends of the earth.
It is our privilege as whole Bible Christians to meditate upon the Old Testament in light of the glorious revelation of Jesus Christ given in Matthew through Revelation. That good news message was "declared at first by the Lord," and then in the remaining New Testament books "it was attested to us by those who heard." (Hebrews 2:3-4)
May these devotions be of some aid to us as we seek to continue in the Word of God.
