Synopsis
There are no contradictions in the Bible, but not everything is easy to understand. Most questions can be answered by applying the principle of complementarity (supplementary principle) to the biblical texts. My thesis is that the texts themselves want to be understood in this way.
There are different levels of fulfillment in prophecy. The first level of fulfillment can be a near fulfillment, while the other levels of fulfillment can happen in the more distant future. It is like looking at a mountain range. First you see the first mountain, then a valley, then the second mountain, and so on. In the same way, fulfillment can continue over time or across distances.
