Humanity has settled in their new home across the stars, living in peace alongside other intelligent species.
Then... ancient alien objects appear around the Iris Galaxy, whispering of dark and forgotten past. There was someone there before mankind — someone far more powerful, and far more dangerous.
When a silent, spreading threat endangers the Iris, two brothers are forced to act. Ja Khar and Bennerick turn to a metal cube they discovered as children — an artifact that should not exist.
But the beings who answer their call are not saviors.
Racing against time, the brothers must decide what survival is worth — and whether progress always demands a price. Their journey will force them to confront their fears and put the bond of brotherhood to the the ultimate test.
