Synopsis
Freedom is the most prized possession. Nations are built upon the promise of it. Actions are judged by it. Freedom is the goal of equality, the crown of relations and creations. Freedom is of choice and it is the prerogative of thought. Knowledge has no constraints because it is not a thing. There is nothing internally or externally to determine or limit it. There are no conditions, no categories. Limits are with the ideas chosen, not the knowledge of them, limited by their proximity to other ideas, their variations by those relations. Freedom can skirt them or bore into them, take them apart or develop them into monuments of thought and action. Freedom is self-managed by truth, which opens up reality and the world.
Dr. Albaugh’s series, entitled Epistemology, currently lists four volumes. Freedom is volume number four. He is an independent philosopher, living in Des Moines with his wife, Lynda, and their animals. They have four children. He holds a Ph.D. in philosophy and taught philosophy for many years.
