Synopsis

The Ladle has appeared over Ojo del Sol, a celestial formation whispered about only in the oldest tellings of the Sundering. It means one thing: something is ready to pour back into the world, and the Reyes family is standing directly beneath it.

Joshua's shadow begins arriving late. Ronnie's numbers stop behaving. Elena's arrest vanishes from the Order's records. And the canyon faces a brutal ultimatum - surrender the brothers or starve under a punitive tithe.

As the Order fractures into competing factions, the family races to uncover the truth behind the Ladle, the Null Gate, and the erased laws that once governed manifestation. Every step reveals a deeper ledger: names removed, histories rewritten, debts uncounted.

But the Ladle is not a door. It is a measure. And what it intends to pour may drown more than the canyon.
The Ladle expands the saga into a story of erased history, dangerous arithmetic, and the cost of refusing a destiny written before you were born.

About the Author

Alander Lee Pulliam Jr. (known professionally as Alander Pulliam) is an American screenwriter and director who long ago traded the romantic illusions of "artistic whispering" for the high-stakes reality of running a set before the sun or the line producer cuts him off. A graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, Alander has built a versatile career writing and directing across independent feature films, episodic television, and fast-paced music videos. His directorial and writing credits include projects like the animated feature Neighborhood Madness, the scripted comedy Family Still Matters, and serving in the creative trenches on major studio lots for projects like Universal's Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. He knows firsthand that a director's real job isn't sitting in a canvas chair waiting for inspiration-it's performing on-set triage when the weather shifts, the equipment stutters, and the budget starts breathing down your neck.

As a literary voice on the realities of the craft, Alander has authored numerous no-nonsense guides, including The Future of Acting in the Digital Age and Starving Actor Knows Best, aimed at helping creatives survive the friction between the muse and the machine. Guided by the Truth, his writing and directing philosophy is built on the belief that a simple, well-executed scene finished on time will always beat an over-budget masterpiece that rots on a hard drive. When he isn't actively calling action or rewriting a script on the fly to save a location permit, Alander develops cross-genre content through GBE Only Entertainment and ABM Streams, proving day after day that the ultimate metric of a filmmaker isn't ego-it's delivery.
