Dylan Thomas has a unique resume. He was a Maine State Police officer who decided to pursue his long-time dream of becoming a lawyer. To support himself while attending law school, he obtained a PI license. All of which has become relevant when he is called by his sister, Caitlin, who says, "Our daughter, Sandy is missing and the police think we've killed her." The search for the abductors will lead Dylan from the wintry weather of northern Maine to Boston, where an organization called The Exchange specializes in cash-for-adoption services for an exclusive clientele.

Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. Dylan Thomas is unusual. A former Maine State Police officer, he decided to become a lawyer and obtained a PI license to pay his way through law school. When he receives an early-morning call from his sister, telling him that her four-year-old daughter, Sandra (aka Sandy), is missing. She believes that police are trying to prove that she and her husband, Oreille Dufore, have done something, possibly killing the child. Dylan comes to their aid. His investigation reveals that an itinerant handyman, Felicien Paradis, and his girlfriend, Claudette Beaupre, have taken Sandra. He soon learns they are taking her to Boston, where they intend to sell her to The Child Exchange. The Exchange is an organization that obtains young children for an exclusive clientele wealthy enough to circumvent the legal adoption process. This item is printed on demand.
