About the Author
Kelly Kolek is the founder of Postiva Health and author of The Missing 21 Days: Closing the Gap Between Surgery and Recovery. Her work focuses on one of the most overlooked parts of the surgical experience: what happens after the patient goes home.Through Postiva Health, Kelly has worked closely with physicians, nurses, surgical practices, and patients to better understand the communication and support gaps that can occur during recovery. The Missing 21 Days grew from that experience and from her belief that patients and families deserve to feel informed, supported, and prepared during the weeks following surgery.Kelly lives in Florida with her family and continues to advocate for a more connected, human approach to postoperative recovery.
