Synopsis
The neon city of Neo-Erebus never sleeps-its towers hum with corporate greed, its streets crawl with shadows, and its machines are learning to think for themselves.
When a dying courier presses a mysterious data-shard into his hand, cyber-detective Dax Vector is dragged into a conspiracy that stretches from the rain-slick alleyways to the highest corporate boardrooms. The name on the shard-Lyra Wynn, a fugitive neuroscientist-leads Dax into the under-net, where a rogue artificial intelligence known as Aether Veil is awakening inside the city's drone grid.
As Helix Dynamics deploys lethal security commander Veyla Cross to retrieve the stolen quantum-neural chip, Dax and Lyra must race through flooded metro tunnels, cult-ridden server-cathedrals, and the reactor shafts of a floating sky-harbour to stop a technology that can override the human mind.
The battle for the city will be fought in code, steel, and blood-and every second brings the Veil closer to controlling millions of augmented citizens.
