Synopsis
A centuries-old feud between war-torn human factions might be too big a battle to overcome.
The Earth is all but an uninhabitable nuclear dust bowl. At least, that's what the Mars and Moon colonies thought until they intercepted a message from humanity's motherland. The Moon sends delegates to Earth with the noble intention of negotiating a peace deal, while trying to avoid the notice of the Mars colony.
Lily has never concerned herself with her mothers politics. Third in line for the throne in Earth's only prosperous colony she has little to worry about. Her life is about freedom and adventure, not the stuffy confines of a palace.
Antony only knows life on the Moon - staunch, religious, conservative. His trip to Earth is mostly for show, as the son of the President of the Moon he has to keep up appearances. His understanding of what the world is like is shattered when he meets Lily at an illegal fighting ring, and then realizes she's the daughter of the very queen they've been sent to treaty with.
Moon and Mars can no longer ignore each other when it's made clear that Earth is not only livable, but thriving.
When negotiations between the Chancellor of Mars and the Moon's President turn sour, a vicious race is born to determine who will secure Earth's only stronghold. But Queen Magdalena has her own agenda, and no one will escape the lengths she'll go to secure her rule-not even her own children.
