Synopsis
A man plagued by gods...
Illyon Corvis just killed a god's physical avatar, and now the memory is killing him. In search of a cure for his nightmares and an end to the compulsion curse of Gar, God of Fire, Ily gets indebted to yet another deity. By a twist of fate, and with the help of an overeager acolyte, he now bears the mark of the Hero. It entitles him to endless adventure and deadly challenges. It also makes him officially responsible for all the problems in the world, and accountable for fixing them, giant rats and all! It is the dream of every starry-eyed boy chasing the caravans, and Ily's worst nightmare (not counting the one with the giant balls).
He now has no choice but to get the deed done or die trying. But there's always another way, and who can say if it's the wrong one?

About the Author
I've always wanted to do magic.
I guess these words define the generation that grew up with the Harry Potter books. It was so cool, so different, thrilling and sometimes dangerous. I've always pushed at the boundaries of reality, trying to break out into the uncharted void beyond, where magic, dwarves, halflings, dragons, and all things out of this mundane place lived. I created ways to change the world. I wrote stories, organized pen-and-paper role-playing sessions for the kids in our neighborhood, I made up board games. I have a brain made for analytical thinking, so it was natural I'd pick up programming in school. I've spent endless hours developing my own computer worlds filled with fairies, trolls, kraken; everything I could fit inside.
