Synopsis
History professor Olivia Jhutta never expected a distress call to lead her across the stars.
When Olivia learns her parents have disappeared on a mysterious mission, she joins forces with an unlikely crew: her family's shrewd business partner, her spirited grandmother, and an injured but formidable Confederacy Admiral, Jak Prentiss. But the search is more dangerous than Olivia ever imagined. The Helicronians believe her parents may have uncovered an ancient weapon capable of toppling the Confederacy-and they're willing to do anything to find it first.
For Jak Prentiss, this was supposed to be a simple diversion during his enforced leave.
Dismissive of what he views as a "wild goose chase," Jak agrees to accompany Olivia on her quest, skeptical of the cryptic clues that hint at ancient legends. Yet as myth begins to intertwine with reality, Jak is forced to confront the truth-and his growing respect for Olivia's courage and determination.
They're opposites drawn together by danger, bound by a mission that could shape the fate of the galaxy.
With the stakes rising and enemies closing in, Olivia and Jak must set aside their differences and rely on each other to survive. In a universe where trust is as rare as ancient relics, will they discover the weapon in time-or fall victim to forces that would see them both destroyed?
