Synopsis
Captain Hailey Brookes is an oddity in the United Nation of Planets Navy, which is why she's given the role of the much smaller warship Hailfire. Unknown to all, this is the most important decision human kind will ever make. Soon after getting her ship, humankind is attacked by an alien force so powerful they can destroy planets. Hailey and her crew give a good show of their talents, but it is not enough to save the Alpha Five system. They all get knocked unconscious, only to wake two years into the future.
Now, afraid they are the only humans left, with the space station that followed them into the future, they need to prepare for a war they never asked for if they are to survive, but can they do it alone?
