About the Author

Amy's path to writing began in a small Illinois town, where she spent her childhood creating flip books for anyone willing to read them. Her dream of becoming an author took root at age eight, though it would be years before that seed would grow into reality. After thirty-four years in education as an elementary school teacher and instructional coach, Amy retired to pursue her lifelong passion for writing.Her debut story draws inspiration from the daily adventures of her beloved dachshund, Little Loki, whose antics provide endless material for storytelling. When not writing, Amy tends to her garden, hikes with her dogs, and loses herself in books - a habit carried over from those early days in Illinois.
