About the Author

Marty Crowe (1914-1999) spent over forty years coaching and teaching in Wisconsin and Minnesota high schools. An inductee into both Wisconsin Football and Basketball Coaches Halls of Fame, Marty's interests went beyond teaching and coaching. He ran for Congress in 1940 and was engaged in politics throughout his life. He acted in Community Theatre in Saint Paul was active in radio in Detroit. While in Eau Claire, he had radio shows on WRFW & WEAU. His columns appeared regularly in several state newspapers. With Gooder, Marty's daughter, Maureen Slauson, has compiled a selection of his best writing on teaching, coaching, faith, family, and humanity.
