Historian and political scientist Don De Angelo, expands his discussion on needed reforms of the American political system. While most of America's political history has been mundane, the rapid collapse of political cohesion has been seen since the end of the Cold War. Since the outbreak of COVID-19 and the subsequent behavior of all levels of government, De Angelo is presenting a set of libertarian ideas to get the United States off of the path of self destruction. Why does the United States have to be fully controlled by the national government? Is the United States doomed to "imperial decline" because it has over reached its capabilities and powers.
What does history tell us about American concepts of the social contract, and how has it been hijacked by American intellectuals and partisan activists? The American REvolution is a quick read on ideas that just might make our society move forward and restore individual liberties while also reviving national unity and international influence.
