About the Authors

Mark Dill is the author of "The Legend of the First Super Speedway, The Battle for the Soul of American Auto Racing," the true story of two men who fought for the soul of American auto racing. This is his first children's book based on the original. Born in Indianapolis, Mark Dill has a life-long involvement with auto racing. He live in Cary, North Carolina with his wife.

Mary Lynn Smith is an upcoming self-taught artist currently residing in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was led to art through inspiration from her aunt and grandmother. Her preferred medium is watercolor, but also enjoys working with gouache and acrylics. This is her first work in children's book.

Esther Rodriguez Dill has been a page designer for over 30 years. Her work includes display ads, brochures and marketing materials, newsletters and magazines.
