About the Author

Dr. Chelsea Black is a shark scientist and conservationist who has worked with sharks around the world. Inspired by the sea from a young age, she followed her love for the ocean and became a marine scientist, now leading shark research projects across the globe. Her research focuses on shark behavior, movement, and resilience in a changing ocean to inform better management and conservation strategies to protect these vital predators. Dr. Black is committed to science education and outreach, hoping to inspire the next generation to appreciate and protect sharks and the ecosystems they live in.
