Synopsis
Eight year old Trisha Herewini is killed by an intruder while her ten year old sister Zoe is in the next bed. Zoe blames herself for her sister's death. The crime remains a cold case until thirteen years later when Zoe Herewini's treatment for her irrational behaviour threatens to reveal the killer of her sister. Troy Brown is a drunk who is about to be suspended from teaching, He is asked by a sympathetic colleague to investigate Zoe's violent behaviour towards her lecturer. Extremist members of a protest group plot secretly to kill the Prime Minister, Jennifer Allenby for imposing sanctions on people's freedoms during the Covid-19 pandemic. Matters come to a head during a protest occupation of the civic centre and the university registry. This novel is suitable for young adults.
