Synopsis
The heroines of The TREE series are back in another murder mystery.
Ghost writer, Frieda Keeler, has a book to finish. To escape the noise of the renovations being carried out in the building in which she lives, she moves to a suite in the exclusive Fir Stones, a hotel on England’s east coast. Early one morning, whilst out walking on the beach, she finds the body of a young woman who is staying at the same hotel.
Frieda is asked by an old acquaintance, Chief Inspector Wright, to help with his enquiries, but within days another body is found in the same location. Aided by her dear friend, Charlotte Leicester, the pair uncover the secrets of those staying in the hotel and working in a nearby sanatorium.
Those secrets reveal nefarious activities in the area resulting in Frieda and Charlotte being put in fear for their lives.
