Sold Out: Maya's Story of Going Too Big and Learning to Make One Good Thing (The Messy Middle Series) - Softcover
Book 3 of 5: The Messy Middle Series
Synopsis
Maya can make a friendship bracelet good enough that people reach into their bag for it — and when the popular kids start asking, she thinks she's finally about to be taken seriously.
So she says yes. To all of it. Sixty-two bracelets, one enormous order, twelve days, and cheap cord she knows isn't good enough — and at the Spring Fair it all falls apart in front of everyone. She loses her savings. She loses her best friend. And she has to work out, slowly and honestly, what actually went wrong.
SOLD OUT is a warm, funny, true-to-life story for ages 8-12 about starting something, messing it up spectacularly, and discovering that the best thing you can make isn't the biggest or the loudest — it's one good thing, made properly, for one person, built to keep. Perfect for young makers, budding entrepreneurs, and any kid learning that the messy middle is where you actually grow.
Part of The Messy Middle: honest stories about kids who fail their way to figuring it out.
