Synopsis
Xi Wang loves the misty bamboo mountains of Sichuan. His days are filled with fresh bamboo, sparkling streams, playful butterflies, and the comforting sounds of the forest.
But when the bamboo suddenly dies, Xi Wang and the other pandas begin to starve. Grandmother Mei, Lian, Tao, and the people of their village climb into the mountains carrying food, water, blankets, and hope. Their kindness saves Xi Wang and helps the forest grow green again.
Years later, new dangers reach his home. A strange gray cloud covers the valley. A once-clear stream turns dark. Machines cut through the forest paths that animals need to survive. Xi Wang cannot protect the mountain alone—but he has already learned what courage, compassion, and a caring community can accomplish.
