Synopsis

This research work was born from a deeply personal need: to find comfort, an answer to the fundamental question that every human being, having reached a certain point in their own existence, inevitably finds themselves asking: what will happen with death? What awaits us beyond that threshold which all of us, without exception, are destined to cross?
Exploring the theory of the holographic universe, I discovered something unexpected and, in many respects, paradoxical. Thanks to the work of a great many non-believing scientists: physicists, cosmologists, mathematicians driven solely by the search for scientific truth, for the first time in history science and its rationality can no longer deny the transcendent. The transcendent makes an unexpected appearance, in sharp contrast to the dominant materialism that for centuries has excluded any dimension transcending matter.
For the believer and at least this is my personal conclusion, in light of the facts and considerations contained in this book a circle closes. Formulas and propositions of modern physics, statements from the Holy Scriptures, miracles and rites that might have appeared abstruse and inexplicable, accepted only by virtue of faith, become logical. Information as the substrate of reality, quantum non-locality, the conservation of conscious information, all these scientific results converge towards a framework in which what faith has always affirmed finds, for the first time, a correspondence in the languages and methods of science.
Paraphrasing the insistent question of the knight Antonius Block in the film «The Seventh Seal» by Ingmar Bergman that question addressed to Death itself: «What lies beyond death?» he, in today's world, could have had, as a believer, some comforting certainties. Not dogmatic certainties, but certainties that arise from the convergence between scientific reason and the intuition of faith: consciousness does not die with the body, the information that constitutes us is indestructible, and the universe itself seems to be structured to preserve, not to annul, what we are.

  • Part I introduces the foundations of holographic theory what a hologram is, the central hypothesis and the informational paradigm.
  • Part II explores the quantum foundations: the granularity of reality, the double slit, wave-particle duality and entanglement.
  • Part III is dedicated entirely to David Bohm and his theory of the implicate order.
  • Part IV analyzes the experimental scientific evidence.
  • Part V explores its deep implications from the fine-tuning of the universe to consciousness and the work of Federico Faggin.
  • Part VI examines the transition from the holographic principle to the simulation hypothesis, including the most recent developments of 2025.
  • Part VII presents the key scientists.
  • Part VIII explores the theological and philosophical implications of holographic theory, analyzing how the concepts of prayer, soul and miracle can be re-read in light of the informational paradigm.
  • The Conclusions gather the evidence, the open questions and a final reflection.
